CyberSmart – A CSR initiative
Through the CyberSmart programme, we are reaching out to all schools and educating kids about online safety as an implementing partner for WNS Cares Foundation. 40,000 kids have already been trained and digital certificates have been issued. This year we are targeting 5,00,000 children in Tamil Nadu.
Swasakoza – Greenary
Because we need to develop a great number of trees and plants in order for humans to continue to exist on our planet, it is crucial to conserve the present greenery and also enhance the number of green patches across, we have to date, 50000 Saplings have been planted in association with Indian Oil, Grama Vidiyal Micro Finance Pvt. Ltd., Tagore Engineering College and Lions Club.
Arogyavida– A Personal Hygiene Program
Workshops conducted for the children to educate on the importance and the methods of personal Hygiene. Till date 9253 children in 5 districts of Tamilnadu have been trained on Personal Hygiene.
Swachh Bharat Mission Initiatives
Through our efforts 46 villages in the Balacola Panchayat of the Nilgiris now have 650 toilets built for the less fortunate. The second-largest district in Tamil Nadu for open defecation is Nilgiri. The high moisture content of the steep terrain makes it difficult for defecated waste to decompose quickly. Fly-borne diseases are carried by these insects, which use this area as a breeding ground. It was our responsibility to build 650 restrooms for 46 villages.
Covid-19 Relief Programs
Dry Ration kits donation and cooked food distribution in association with Tech Mahindra Foundation.
Through this initiative we had distributed 500 Dry Ration Kits for the people under Below Povery Line in The Nilgiri District and delivered 20,000 cooked meals for the poor in Chennai under the guidance of Greater Chennai Corporation.
Additionally supported AnteNatal & PostNatal women in the tribal villages of The Nilgiri district with access to nourishing foods during Lockdown.
Education For all
Helping students from Government schools to get free access to online learning with the support of BYJU’s under their initiative of Education for all.
Waste Management Program
Residents of Coonoor were shown and given training on how to effectively manage organic waste at home using various methods of home composting.
Skills Development Program
Creating a platform for the younger generation to understand the different aspects and opportunities available and an idea on how one can pursue them.
