Families benefited – 650 / People benefited: 2850
Constructed 650 Toilets for the underprivileged, covering 43 Villages in Balacola Panchayat, The Nilgiris. Nilgiri is the second largest district in Tamil Nadu for open Defecation Being a hilly terrain the moisture content is high due to which the defecated waste will take time to compost. This is a breading place for files and insects and these flies spread disease across. We took the task of constructing 650 toilets covering 46 Villages.
Result – 650 Families benefited 2850 People benefited
Benefit for the society – Zero open defecation in these villages and has also helped the senior citizens.
2500 girl children benefited
One-day workshop on self-hygiene and well-being was conducted for the students of Eklavya Model Residential School (only girls) – Salem. The workshop addressed on “Personal Health and Hygiene, Reproductive health and Personality Development.
Result 2500 girl children benefited.
320 Police personnel benefited
The Police department goes through tremendous stress daily and Niligiri being Tourist place with a lot of VVIPs visiting they are always on their feet. Which Impacts their lifestyle and their ability to deliver on duty. To help the department officials we conducted a one-day workshop. Mr Avinash Anandha, international speaker on leadership and motivation was invited from Mumbai to address the officials.
Result 320 staffs benefited
2500 Trees planted
Till date, 2500 Trees have been planted in association with Grama Vidiyal Micro Finance Pvt. Ltd., Tagore Engineering College and Lions Club.
165 Students Benefited
Few students of a school, were found to be involved in drugs, we conducted an awareness program for the students to help them to say no to drugs. (pls reach out to us for more information).
